Legacy Furniture My Obsession with woodworking

After my day job, to pay the bills. I am completely satisfied to spend my free time in my shop (The garage). The true joy to me is the making of what has been referred to as “man glitter”, saw dust and the small peels that come from a perfectly sharpened plane iron.

I can put on some music, listen to a podcast or an audible book. This is the ultimate escape from a crazy life. Nothing matters, but the completion of the task at hand.

I grew up in Toledo, Ohio and was born and raised here. My dad was always very handy and could make just about anything. This is were I learned most of my skills. My true passion with woodworking came from helping my ex-wife’s grandfather in his shop. We could put together shelfs and tables all day and after enjoy a Manhattan.

I enjoy working with all types of media and tools. I love using epoxy in my work to simply just fill knots, to use as inlays or to make a complete statement with it. My house has been filled with so many projects that I am running out of room.

My goal was to turn this into a great business. where I could continue to work on my passion and maybe earn enough money to buy some more tools.

As I continue with this bog post, I will describe the struggles and wins of starting a business. This has not been an easy journey and is far from being over. To maintaining equipment all the way to managing social media. It is not an easy thing to let people into your life and video every aspect including all the bloopers. I am not, in my opinion good enough to teach others, but I would sure like to entertain and show my clients that it actually is me building their project.

In the meantime, I would rather just come up with some more ideas to build.
